Eric Alexander is fresh off a 3 night, 9 performance gig at the Smoke Jazz and Supper Club in New York City.

Eric is an American jazz saxophonist, known for his sophisticated hard bop and post-bop style. He took up the clarinet at age nine and switched to alto sax three years later. Alexander began as a classical musician, studying alto saxophone at Indiana University with Eugene Rousseau in 1986. Alexander first achieved fame by finishing second (behind Joshua Redman and ahead of Chris potter) at the 1991 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone competition.

Appearing with Eric with be Harold Mabern on Piano, Joe Farnsworth on Drums and John Webber on Bass.
